Our first riding day from Málaga to Mojácar takes us along the southern Spanish coast and through the impressive landscapes of Andalusia. Passing pristine beaches and through the Cabo de Gata nature reserve, known for its rugged coastline and volcanic rock formations, we reach Mojácar, a picturesque white village perched on a hill overlooking the coast. With its narrow, winding streets, whitewashed houses and panoramic views of the Mediterranean, Mojácar offers a charming end to this varied day.
Today's stage from Mojácar to Alicante is a varied journey that offers you both breathtaking coastal views and exciting mountain routes. A highlight of the route is the Sierra de Espuña Natural Park, which offers winding roads and great panoramas. The last stage takes you to the Valencia region before we reach the Costa Blanca and our destination for the day, Alicante. This lively port city offers a beautiful beach promenade, the historic Castillo de Santa Bárbara with spectacular views of the city and the Mediterranean as well as a variety of restaurants and cafés to end the day in a relaxed manner.
This day offers a varied mix of coastal roads, mountain passes and fertile valleys. The drive through the interior and along the Ebro River takes us into quieter, scenic surroundings before we reach the historic town of Tortosa. A town steeped in history, Tortosa is picturesquely situated between the mountains and the river and boasts a beautiful old town with an imposing castle that offers magnificent views of the surrounding area.
Today's stage takes us through an impressive mix of Mediterranean plains, mountain regions and the highest peaks of the Pyrenees. The route offers everything motorcyclists could wish for: winding country roads, breathtaking landscapes and the challenge of the Pyrenean passes before we reach La Vella, the capital of the small principality of Andorra.
A rest day in La Vella is the perfect opportunity to relax and enjoy the unique atmosphere of this small but lively capital. We can start the day with a leisurely stroll through the old town, where there are narrow streets, historic buildings and the picturesque church of Sant Esteve to discover. Andorra is known for its duty-free shopping, which is a pleasure in the modern shopping streets. The surrounding mountains also allow us to go for a short ride on the motorcycle on this rest day.
The journey continues from Andorra to France. A day that offers both scenic beauty and cultural highlights awaits us. We drive through the Pyrenees, enjoy spectacular mountain roads and explore historic towns such as Carcassonne before reaching the Mediterranean atmosphere of Montpellier. Montpellier is a city that combines both historical and modern elements in a dynamic and welcoming atmosphere. It offers a perfect blend of culture, history, nature and Mediterranean flair.
We leave the lively city in the south of France through one of the country's most picturesque and impressive regions: the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur. We'll enjoy the ride through a variety of landscapes, from flat, Mediterranean plains to the steep, dramatic foothills of the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence and the impressive Verdon Gorge. Castellane, a charming village on the edge of the Gorges du Verdon, is known for its medieval old town, narrow streets and the Château de Castellane, an ancient fortress.
We embark on a breathtaking journey through some of the most beautiful landscapes of southern France and northern Italy, crossing mountainous Mediterranean passes, along the glamorous Côte d'Azur and finally reaching the picturesque coast of the Italian Riviera. This route not only offers technically challenging roads for motorcyclists, but also unforgettable views, charming towns and the pleasure of the Mediterranean lifestyle. Savona is an important port city and has an interesting mix of old and new. The Castello del Priamar, a medieval fortress, offers a great view of the city and the harbor.
Today's stage is a real adventure that will delight motorcyclists with breathtaking landscapes, historic villages and a variety of winding roads. This tour takes us through the lesser-known but extremely charming mountain valleys of Italy, past ancient monasteries, bridges and authentic villages. The ride ends in Verona, one of Italy's most fascinating cities, world-famous for its history, impressive Roman architecture and romantic connection to Romeo and Juliet. The city offers numerous sights, including the Arena di Verona, the well-preserved Roman amphitheater used for opera performances. A stroll through the historic old town will take you to the Piazza delle Erbe and the Casa di Giulietta, Juliet's famous house with its legendary balcony.
The last riding day is also a real adventure, offering both riding pleasure and breathtaking landscapes. We cross a variety of regions, from the rolling hills of the Po Valley to the steep, winding mountain passes of the Alps. This route combines challenging routes with breathtaking views and cultural highlights that will delight motorcyclists and nature lovers alike. Garmisch-Partenkirchen is the perfect end to this adventurous ride, with its majestic Alpine landscapes and numerous leisure opportunities.
