On the first day of your trip you will explore the beautiful island of Corfu by motorcycle. This round trip offers a wonderful mix of coastal beauty, picturesque villages and historical sites. A perfect introduction to the days to come and a relaxed groove on the current BMW models.
We start your epic adventure on two wheels. The ferry takes you from the idyllic island of Corfu to solid Greek soil. In Igumenitsa, the time has finally come. We set off for the impressive Meteora Monasteries! This motorcycle tour combines breathtaking coastal roads with the majestic beauty of the Greek mountains. Explore ancient monasteries perched on bizarre rock formations and immerse yourself in the mystical atmosphere of Meteora.
Deeply impressed by Meteora and its floating monasteries, we make our way to the picturesque shores of Lake Ohrid in Northern Macedonia. Lake Ohrid is the second largest lake in the Balkan Peninsula as well as one of the oldest surviving lakes on earth. Experience the breathtaking scenery, impressive culture and historical treasures of both countries. Enjoy a coffee on the shores of Lake Orestes in Kastoria and indulge in Greek delicacies over lunch at the small Prespa Lake before we cross the border into Northern Macedonia and reach our destination for the day at Lake Ohrid.
We cross the border into Albania, but stay on the shores of Lake Ohrid for a while before turning our backs on the lake and crossing Albania from east to west to reach Karpen, the start and end point of the Int. GS Trophy 2022 and our stage destination today.
Passing the Albanian capital Tirana, we head to the next border. Montenegro, a country with a rich history, breathtaking nature and unique cultural diversity. It is a popular destination for nature lovers, adventurers and culture buffs alike. Our destination for the day, Tivat, is located in the world-famous Bay of Kotor. In addition to Porto Montenegro, which is one of the most exclusive marinas in the Mediterranean, the historical sights and natural attractions of the region also attract visitors.
We leave Tivat and follow the Bay of Kotor. Besides the historical towns, the nature in the bay is breathtaking. High mountains rise majestically from the water and provide an impressive backdrop. On the way to Split you will pass picturesque bays and historic cities such as Dubrovnik, while enjoying spectacular views of the sea.
Split is a city rich in history, culture and natural beauty. The mixture of ancient ruins, charming alleys and lively atmosphere makes it a popular tourist destination in Croatia. The heart of the city is Diocletian's Palace, built in the 4th century AD by the Roman emperor Diocletian. The palace is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and today houses stores, restaurants and apartments. So there are some reasons to leave the motorcycle in the garage and take a break.
We leave the city and the Dalmatian coast behind. Experience the fascinating diversity of Croatia on a motorcycle: from the vibrant coastal city of Split to the enchanting Plitvice Lakes, one of the most beautiful natural wonders of Europe. This stage promises breathtaking roads, impressive landscapes and the freedom of motorcycling in the midst of nature. Immerse yourself in the magical world of waterfalls and lakes, surrounded by lush forests. An adventure that perfectly combines culture, nature and the joy of motorcycling!
The route takes you from the lakes towards Rijeka, a Croatian port city on the Adriatic Sea. Piran, a picturesque coastal town in Slovenia, is our destination today. Along the way you will pass through picturesque villages and stunning landscapes. Once in Piran, you will experience the Mediterranean charm of this charming town. The old town is known for its narrow streets, pastel-colored houses and breathtaking views of the sea.
From the Slovenian Adriatic coast we now head north with Italy as our destination. We follow the crystal clear Soca, known as one of the cleanest rivers in Europe, to reach the Triglav National Park. At the Predil Pass we cross the Italian border and are enchanted by the spectacular roads through the mountains of the Dolomites. Cortina d'Ampezzo, a famous ski resort in the north of Italy and venue of the 1956 Winter Olympics, is our stage destination today.
The route takes you along winding roads, through the picturesque valleys of the Dolomites, past vineyards and offers breathtaking views. Head north, where another border awaits. The Brenner Pass is a historically significant crossing between Italy and Austria, and remains one of the most important north-south connections today. Finally, you'll reach Innsbruck, the capital of Tyrol. This city is surrounded by majestic mountains and offers a wealth of cultural and natural attractions.
The last riding day of this epic journey invites us to enjoy once again. We leave Innsbruck behind us and head through the beautiful Inn Valley, past Lake Achensee and its fjord-like landscapes toward the German border. The mountains in our rearview mirrors become smaller and smaller. But the Bavarian foothills of the Alps with their picturesque villages and crystal-clear lakes make saying goodbye a little easier. A short stretch on the German autobahn finally brings us to Munich, where we review our experiences over a delicious dinner and bring an unforgettable tour to a close.
Have a good trip home! We hope to see you again soon on one of our tours.
